True Love

“I asked Jesus how much He loved me. He spread His arms out wide and said, ‘This much’ and then died on the cross for me.”

God’s love for us is indescribable. In fact, on human terms, it doesn’t even make sense. In our shallow world, we get what we pay for and expect no more than what we give in return. But not so with God’s love. It is so unique to Him because no one else knows every single thing about you; He knows your thoughts before they even become words. And yet He loves you all the better for it — unconditionally. While not condoning our sin, our Lord still lavishes us with His love in spite of it.
So not only on this day — but every day — grab a hold of this irrational, amazing love and share it! Let the world know that you are His because you dare to love like He does.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1

God’s love fills the immensity of space; therefore, there is no shortage of love in the universe, only in our willingness to do what is needed to feel it. To do this, Jesus explained we must “love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, … soul, … strength, and … mind; and thy neighbour as thyself” (Luke 10:27).
